Yea and they're complaining about the stoppage but Kovalev didn't complain about the stoppage at the time. Very weird.Comment

Kovalev promised to end Ward's career instead he sits on the ropes defenseless forcing the ref to save him. this is what Weeks did in the Castillo vs. Corrales fight. as soon as Castillo hands dropped with his chin in the air he stepped in and stopped it. Castillo was complaining too but what is a ref supposed to do when you turn into a punching bag? Kovalev simply folded up and didn't return fire. he was screaming for a way out.
now everybody gonna hate JDJ for speaking truth. this is the so called Krusher. if the blows were truly low why not just retaliate. he promised a street fight remember.Comment

There really is no controversy to this fight. We all saw Ward beat Kovalev. Nothing controversial about it. Only Kov fans are trying to make something out of the stoppage. Kovalev himself knew he was finished, that's why he pulled that garbage in the 7th.Comment

Kovalev didn't show the fire needed to back up his words at all...
Anyone seen that fight between Freddie Norwood and Derrick Gainer? .... that's what you do if you think you're being hit low and the ref isn't doing anything about it.Comment

He's from the American school of fighting. He understands inside fighting and fighters are taught to return fire with fire. You hit me low I hit you low. And it's really not just USA its Central and South too.
Eastern European fighters are phenomenal outboxers and look invincible. Probably the most dominant amateur system right now. But they are used to refs breaking up the clinches quicker, maintaining the fight at a distance and strictly enforced rules. Inside fighting isn't given much credit in the scoring system and body punching is not emphasized. That's why the conversion from amateur to pro is not smooth for everyone.
That's why the Salido fight was too soon for Loma. He had enough fights to gain the experience and learn the tactics that pro fighters use to mentally break you.
That's why you see a big difference between JDJs mentality and Kovalev's Russian trainers mentality.
If you watch GGGs training footage, Abel spends a lot of time teaching inside fighting tricks. He was even trying to teach Sullivan Barrera a few tacticsComment
