Virgil just ****ing with people here, trying to grab a headline or two lol Ward is way too small. But he could bring some light to the CW division. Those fighters could use some attention.

Number one, Andre Ward is no Roy Jones Jr. Number two, Anthony Joshua is no John Ruiz! It all depends on how long Ward intends to fight. Roy was never the same when he came back to 175, so if Dre moves up to fight Joshua, then I think it's his last fight! It would be a big money fight (CASH OUT), and a legacy defining win if he could pull it off! I would much rather see Ward vs. Golovkin @ 170!

Ward already walks around at 200 pounds, and with the right PEDs, he can get up to 220 no problem just like we saw him bulk up good for the Kovalev rematch, and be able to take Kovalev's best shots without getting hurt even though Paul Smith rocked Ward just two years ago.
If Ward can create an elite light heavyweight chin out of thin air over just a year's time, then he can create a decent heavyweight chin too, with the right mixture of things. With his speed advantage over Joshua, Joshua would probably only catch him half-clean a handful of times in the fight, and at 220 with a new chemical chin, Ward could probably take those shots.
It's a 50/50 fight, and it's the only fight I would watch with Ward in it after last night. There's a curiosity factor, and a dare to be great factor, that could make up for the bull**** last night. Anything else is a step backwards.

That could be something to watch, but if Joshua clips him that could be it. Ward hurt Kovalev with a good right hand but the ending was ridiculous and inconclusive. Kovalev crouched down to the lower rope because he got hit with a blatant low blow. This is the kind of thing that damages boxing, endings like this.
