    Kovalev should just retire

He got spanked by Ward two times and the only good he did in those fights was to score a lucky flash knockdown in the first fight. This has been one big embarassment for him. He made excuses both time. Boohoo, I got robbed, boohoo, he hit me with lowblows. And we understand that you whine, Kovalev. Remember how you were kissing Ward's behind to shake hands with him and how you threatened him earlier, but he made a mafiaboss put you in your place? There is nothing left for Kovalev in boxing. No one can take him seriously anymore. The Krusher is Krushed.

I don't think so... There are a lot of contenders and good fights for him within this division.
At least chickenson, about same level as Kovalev.
And of course, guys level below like Barrera, Smith, Gvozdyk etc.
But if he will decide to stop fighting... It will be good move too. Make your family happy. Small son, good wife. And maybe good future as a trainer.

This controversial lose to ward will be discussed for a long time. But it is still discussion, not a reality.

Stevenson would also destroy Kovalev, bro. Kovalev doesn't have the heart of a champion.

What will be discussed in the future is how Kovalev kept whining and making excuses for losing to Ward.

If there will be a third fight, which I hope not, then people will start claiming that Kovalev got drugged before the fight to give Ward an advantage, lol.

That or try to fight Stevenson. Cruiserweight isn't out of the question.

I think there are some fun fights to make with Kovalev still. Sh^t I'd argue there are probably more fun fights to make for Kovalev than Ward at 175. I think Kovalev vs Beterbiev could be an FOTY type fight. If Stevenson would quit playing Stevenson vs Kovalev would be a fun fight.

Kovalev is getting up there, 34yrs, but I think if he's giving the P4P #1 cat such a competitive 19 rounds of fighting that there's plenty of lesser guys he can still beat & some good competitive fights with the next eras guys that are still on the comeup that are still doable.

I've never been a huge fan of the guys who come up short in big fights moving up a division. I think the winners should be the guys who move up & I wouldn't hate seeing Ward jumping up to CW & I've already said I don't hate Ward's chances vs Parker & Wilder for a HW strap. Problem is apparently Hunter gots his eyes on Joshua who I think would damn near punch Ward out of the ring if they fought although in fairness & respect to Ward's skills it might take awhile for Joshua to find a piece of Ward to hit & KO out of the ring.

the guy was ko'd by a series of low blows. he can't complain about that? thats just something that shouldnt happen in boxing whether you like the guy fighting or not. is bowe a whiner because golota kept hitting him low? oh wait in that fight golota was branded with the cheater label. in wards fight even though he did the exact same thing kovalev is labeled the whiner and ward escapes the cheater label. why? because the way it was officiated was different and nothing more. now lets see what the rules say about low blows and if the ref in bowe-golota was right or the ref in ward-kovalev.....

joshua-ward will have to take place in the uk so right there ward is not taking the fight. you know why? because he knows cheating doesnt travel. his low blows would get him dq'd over there and he knows it. his clinching would not be tolerated. this is why he refused to travel during the super six or for the froch rematch. maybe he could have won those fights legit but why take a chance? as we saw against kovalev, if you can get away with cheating and win why not do it? there are no consequences for cheating for him here. over there in the uk....different story they follow the rules(when it suits their a-side of course)

Some of the punches looked low but kov was looking to quit because he was tiring again.
