    Ward is a Cerebral fighter

I kind of always noticed he has what Mayweather has. That ability to adapt. No matter if the fighter is bigger, faster, stronger, good boxer, brawler, ko artist etc. If you sit in the ring with them long enough it's over. I remember the "you have maybe the first 3 or 4 rds to beat mayweather or he figures you out" speeches and i think the same applies to Ward. He looked completely confident in that fight. Whether kovalev got a standing 8 count or not it was most likely over after that right hand. Ward has his number. If they fight again ward stops him in 5 or less. I think Anderson Silva was another fighter like that too. I'm sure there are more. These are the type of guys you gotta ko out the gate man

He had Kovalev figured out after 3 or 4 rounds of the last fight.

The MOST cerebral fighter ever is Wladimir Klitschko. Technically the greatest boxer ever. The most dominant champion ever. The most unbeatable looking boxer ever.

The likes of Andre Ward consistently lose rounds, get hit more often and are more frequently in closer fight.

On the other hand, Wladimir Klitschko has barely lost a round during his peak for 10 years. Has barely even got hit in most of his fights and knocked nearly all of his opponents out. Wladimir Klitschko is a more challenging problem to solve for opponents than either Andre Ward or Floyd Mayweather Jr. Wladimir Klitschko is more cerebral than the duo as well.

Legal or not weeks should have not stopped fight yet. Ward deserves an unquestionable win he trained his butt for it, and kova needs to be given a chance for a comeback since he wasn't unconcious or out off his feet.
Khan was given three tries. Even bradley was given benefit of the doubt against provo
Those guys are more hurt imo.
Dont give me that "oh hes gonna get stop anyway" we cant say that to all the greatest comebacks in boxing

Ross Purrity must be an ATG for kicking Vlad's ass.

I feel like people are trying to drown the elephant in the room with sheer quantity.

Nah, he deliberately socked him in the balls 2-3 times in a row and anyone else would have been disqualified.

He didn't fight scared and he was swinging big shots at Kovalev to take the guy out of his game. To make him confused and angry. Brilliant stuff.

It was a back and forth fight for sure, but going into the stoppage Ward was gradually looking better and Kovalev gradually looking worse. Kov was still fighting well though up until the last round.

I was impressed by both fighters at different times.
