Jim Lampley and the HBO crew should be ashamed of themselves for doing that to Rigo

My fault he changed it to a ko*

It looked shady as fk as if the commissioner got the word from someone in the truck then HBO higher ups realized it was Rigo and decided it was time to do whatever it took to get rid of him . It was a very bad look for boxing looked so shady on live TV.

HBO trying to influence the commission against a fighter they don't like is something you think happens on some shady back room somewhere not on damn live TV.

The rules clearly state if a bout is ended by one fighter being incapacitated by an accidental foul it is ruled a NC that's what it should have been. It got first botched when they gave him the K.O win then it turned incredibly shady when HBO looked like they where lobbying hard for a DQ that was crazy.

Their intention was not just to provide him with extra information though, they were very clearly trying to convince him it should be a DQ, atleast Lampley was. Max was sticking up for Rigo a bit.

I wonder if they pointed out the clear lowblows to bob as well.

It was very cringe worthy, regardless of their intentions. They should not be interacting with the commission or trying to influence them in any way.

Keep in mind, this entire interview was done after Rigo was awarded with a KO victory. Jim and the HBO crew just couldn't handle that, so they had to take matters into their own hands. Shame on them. Watching Rigo is watching HISTORY.
I was just gonna make a thread about this. What HBO and Jim Lampley did, trying to throw Rigo under the bus AGAIN, was almost surreal... I couldn't believe how they kept pushing and pushing and pushing for the DQ... I REALLY hope that the commission doesn't give in to this blatant bullying on HBO's part.

HBO needs to work on their production value.

It was disgusting ( Besides GGg/Canelo) Im on the verge of not ordering HBO PPVs

HBO is a disgrace, I hope TR moves to Espn / Abc leaving HBO with just a couple fighters and a quick death . They do such a disservice to the sport with almost everything they do , they used to be the gold standard but now it's just becoming a disgrace

Everyone involved with HBO, they focus on biased commentary and constructing a narrative that isn't truthful and hurts the sport.

If that was GGG/Loma/Gonzalez they wouldn't have done that with Rigo. Even during the Kov/Ward fight giving Kov 5 of the first 6 rounds and then Lamomey saying Lederman essentially knows better then the judges and he's the people's judge.

Boxing will be better when HBO decides to cut the BS or leaves the sport

He wasn't holding when he threw the KO punch. And Flores was punching with him. And the bell JUST rung.... Guys throwing punches just after the bell rings happens in nearly every damn fight! It's not like Rigo threw that punch flagrantly when Flores wasn't fighting or defending himself anymore.

Respect to Roy Jones Jr he stepped in and corrected them all! BOTH was still throwing punches after the bell but all the focus was on Rigo because he dropped Flores
