Kovalev thought Weeks would interfere because of Ward multiple blatant lowblows

but instead Tony Weeks stepped in and stopped the fight in favor of Andre Ward.

Ward landed multiple lowblows which drained the energy out of Kovalev, Weeks only warned Ward once, another lowblow hurt Kovalev and Weeks did nothing and then at the end Ward landed a good shot to the head but Kovalev recovered and then Ward went back down and landed BLATANT lowblows, 3 in a row, not to the beltline, they were to Kovalevs crotch, to his balls, can you imagine how that hurts?

Of course Kovalev thought now the ref has to take a point away from Ward, AT LEAST interfere and give Ward a final warning and give Kovalev time to recover.

But he actually stops the fight. HAHAHAHA.
    This is hilarious.

America makes it possible and some of you people let yourself get fooled and manipulated by this. You actually ride with it because it suits your agenda but you dont get the bigger picture.

    Poor fellas you people.

Yup if Kovalev was landing these shots, here is what would have happened:

Weeks would have taken a point away from Kovalev and given Ward 5 minutes to recover.

If Ward couldnt recover in time or just put on a good show, they would have DQed Kovalev.

Ward was outclassed like in the first fight, he then realized he can lowblow Kovalev with the help of the referee all fight.. and thats where he "hurt" Kovalev even earlier in the fight.

Lol, you guys are so full of ****! Kov shouldn't have looked for sympathy after promising to end Ward's career like a fake tough guy.

When things got tough, he folded.....

Exactly the only reason Ward even got that big punch that wobbled Kovalev was because of the many low blows before that, and in those kovalev reacted like it was an illegal hit, but the ref ignored him or just told him to continue fighting. Ridiculous.

Anybody saying kovalev gave up, should get in a boxing match and get hit at least 4 times in the nuts with the ref allowing them and then comeback and tell us of your experience.

There were many more legal blows then low one's. When a fighter is hurt you see some of the shots stray low many times, its only been highlighted because the fight got stopped then and there otherwise we wouldn't really be talking about it. Weeks should have given Kovalev a count, and he probably would have got stopped anyway because he had nothing left.

The stoppage actually took away from Ward's performance and Kovalev's chance to potentially come back, basically a definitive ending.
