This answers your question. It doesn't matter how important the fight is. Getting hit low is a game changer.

The much better question to ask is why wasn't he complaining of the stoppage?

Lowblows combined with being stunned by a nice shot. Should have gave him a 10 count atleast. I hate when fights end like this , if ward KOd him clean id give him full props.

He obviously was hurt and in survival mode until the end of the round. But have you never seen a guy hurt before?

Seriously, it happens all the time where a guys is hurt but not to the point that a fight needs to be stopped. Ward wasn't fighting back in round 2 of last fight after the KD but I would have been up in arms if they stopped it at that point. He needed to get to the corner to gather himself and he came back strong. Same thing may or may not have happened here but he should have had the chance.
