    Weeks saved Kovalev's career

Ward had Kovalev on ***** street with a MASSIVE right hand, Kovalev wasn't defending himself and wouldn't have recovered any time soon. Instead of allowing a brutal beating Weeks showed compassion and stopped it. Great stoppage by the ref, Ward's power is seriously underrated.

I was thinking the same thing. If the fight goes on, I can see Kovalev quitting. He was gassed and those bodyshots were brutal. That could've been a lot more embarrassing.

Ward might be the best body puncher in boxing. And OMG there's no question anymore who would win between Ward and GGG.

He may have saved his balls from that furious pounding that Ward was giving them, but not his career.

You've admitted before that you are Afro-Latino.

This has a lot to do with your opinion.

Not really sure about this. You can't stop this kind of fight, with that kind of stoppage.

Low blow or not, Kovalev had every chance to finish that round.

I feel that the stoppage didn't do a favour to either one of them.

Honestly, it was kind of bizarre.

Anyway, I am glad we are over it tbh. I think both fighters will take long breaks. Ward will probably try to do something else - maybe fight Parker for HW title =))

Not optimistic regarding Kovalev. What I learned before this fight, that pretty much everything around him is a mess. No trainer, no good promotion, underpaid... I don't see how can he ever regain his status. And without it, I don't see him getting many meaningful fights.

I actually think that Weeks just destroyed his career with that stoppage.
