Yeah I agree it should not have been stopped, the ref don't know they were on the low side of the band every replay Ive seen he couldn't see where they were landing exactly and from camera view they looked on the bottom lip of the band.

Was crazy the stoppage there was a split second where Kov just kind of froze and boom Weeks stops it.

I do believe Ward had his number in the next couple of rounds anyway but Weeks also robbed Ward of a clean stoppage win.

Watch the replays watch where weeks was standing, and watch what hand Andre was throwing with. Tony weeks had a clear unobstructed view of the low blows.

That's what makes it so baffling.

I agree that ward had his number tonight, and was going to either finish him off or take a clear decision.

That really doesn't matter though, Kovalev should have gotten 5 min to recover from the lowblows.

Legal or not weeks should have not stopped fight yet. Ward deserves an unquestionable win he trained his butt for it, and kova needs to be given a chance for a comeback since he wasn't that hurt.
