Before Kovalev was hit by the big right hand, he was hit with a borderline shot. He was too busy complaining about that one (and looking for a way out), when he got rocked.
Still, he was looking for a way out and Ward gave it to him with a couple of low blows. (1 borderline, 2 were clearly low).
A couple of noticeable things though. Whilst Sergei was leading on my scorecard by 2, he was visibly fading in the fight and Ward was actually starting to walk through his shots. I think he would have stopped him eventually.
Sergei was looking at the ref for help, probably feeling the tide was turning or he was running out of gas, when he really should have just thrown a couple of low blows back at Ward and forced the ref to step in.
The stoppage itself was BS. He should have got a standing 8 count, at least. It's left a cloud over the fight, and that's not good for boxing.Comment

Not all of them! Some Drifted Low ABSOLUTELY! Weeks blew this one though, you have to set the tone of the fight early as the ref, you have to issue Warnings you have to let the fighter know what is good and what is low. It was one that went low early he should've gave Ward a Stern Warning
That being said, I'm not taking anything from Ward, he caught and hurt Kovalev with a Big Right! Kovalev was backing up against the Ropes he was hurt NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT!Comment

I don't blame you. My opinion is shared by at least half of boxing commentators/analysts right now, while absolutely nobody thinks that ALL of those shots were legit as you claim.Comment

Legal or not weeks should have not stopped fight yet. Ward deserves an unquestionable win he trained his butt for it, and kova needs to be given a chance for a comeback since he wasn't that hurt.
Khan was given three tries. Even bradley was given benefit of the doubt against provoComment
