Fight went as I expected. Kovalev gassed again from 6th round onwards. A lot of the shots were borderline but a couple did stray low. But by this point Kovalev was already tired and was hurt bad by the right hand and subsequent body shots (before the final 3) and was on his way to being stopped. The referee should have definitely given him another 10 seconds instead of waving it off though. I'm sure Ward would have liked to have got the stoppage without the added 'controversy'.

Ten seconds can mean the difference between a fighter fighting again and suffering permanent brain damage that prevents him from feeding himself. Kovalev was not going to come back and land a miracle punch. The Ref made the right decision to stop the fight.

I had kovalev ahead but ward was looking sharper as the fight went on. At the time of the stoppage the bodyshots were borderline but acceptable, but it was a knockdown against the ropes. Where the **** was the ten count, what an abysmal stoppage.

You waive the fight during a knockdown if it's clear the fighter is unconcious/unable to continue......you stop a fight before the ten count if the fighter has sustained a severe beating during prior rounds analogous to the stoppage.

Kovalev should've received a 10 count, but was robbed of that. Just like it was painfully obvious rigondeaux should've gotten a no contest, but instead these ******s are like, "what should we do?!" I can see mayweather sr. watching this ppv going, ' y'all don't know **** about boxing man."

Fight should have been paused, a point taken from Ward for repeated low blows and a break given to Kovalev to recover from the repeated low blow attack from Ward.

There was sequence that was shot right over Tony Weeks shoulder that clearly show those shots were low.

Bad stoppage is all I'm saying.

Beltline looked legal to me man like I said the only one u could make that argument for was that last one
