As we know there's been subtle animosity between Floyd and Ward, with Ward being half Irish, depending on tomorrow nights outcome, could you see him helping fellow Irishman McGregor (who apparently has had cross words with Kovalev too remember) with dealing with a defensive boxer. Maybe not sparring, more a coaching thing.
At the end of the day, the worst thing this fight can be for the sport of boxing, is perceptively boring to the casual crown, like May-Pac was. If Floyd dominates too easily, and its not a competitive fight, that could also be disappointing.
I think Ward wins tomorrow, and boosts his mainstream profile further by not only endorsing this fight, as he already has, but actually getting involved.
