In the first fight in the beginning I didn't like Ward's body or movement in the first round. He looked like a blown up LHW and was slow in the first few rounds. Then he picked it up as the fight went on which indicated there was still ring rust from inactivity. I always wanted him to fight one more time before fighting Kov. He'll be acclimated to the weight now so I expect him to be faster and sharper now that he's had time at the LHW division and has been active. I have Ward winning because I don't expect Kov to dominate the first half of the fight like he did.

Then what was your point? You seem to indicate that Kovalev didn't empty his clip in the fight because of the rematch clause and his thought that he was out "everthinging" Ward. If he didn't empty his clip because he thought he had the fight in the bag, then he deserved to lose and will have to deal with a more confident Ward tomorrow.

He's been active in the last two years which benefits him. What part of that do you not understand?

Sure, he was active in 2016, and I commend him for that. But the last two years takes us back to the Smith fight of June 2015. After that fight, we didn't see Ward in the ring for 9 months, until March 2016. Sorry, but I can't call one fight in a calendar year and 9 months of inactivity, being active.
