Easy he's not involved so he is speaking as a boxing fan. If he's selling a fight he will literally say and go along with anything. That's the life of a promoter they are all 2 faced. Just like White saying for years these cross fights do nothing but hurt and disrespect both boxing and UFC. But now that he has no choice but to be involved he has changed his tune and is under fire from both boxing and UFC establishment calling this a circus and a joke. When white wasn't trying to sell something that was his true opinion and Oscar is spitting nothing but truth as well. You can question his agenda all you want but the message is still valid.

Oscar was feeling himself when he secured the September date. He even sat down and wrote a letter to himself. I bet he didn't even consider Floyd could outsmart him and pick an earlier date. The beauty of the date is it's not so close so people will think they have to choose. But you know after Mayweather vs McGregor it will be hard to shell out another $80 bucks for some people.

Hell he said it about conner/Floyd and now that it's made every report starts with he changed his tune that's because he was dead set against doing a crossover fight he said that's bad for business and disrespect to the fighters of each sport. Oscar's plan all along was to put Canelo-GGG off as long as possible. And now, because he has once again been outsmarted by Floyd, he's risking his cashcow, and will be doing something without maximum return on the risk. Because inevitably, Mayweather-McGregor is gonna hurt the Canelo-GGG bottomline. Its gonna hurt the buildup, because Floyd's fight will get the most mainstream attention. And in the economic times we're living in, a lot of people are gonna be choosing Floyd's fight OR Oscar's. And even the ones planning to get both. A lot of minds may change in the three weeks between the fights. Asking someone to drop $70 after they've already dropped $100 weeks earlier is gonna be tough. Especially since people are gonna be pissed at the ****y product they're gonna see in Aug.

Its not just that fight that suffers its all the legitimate boxing matches that will,how rediculous is it that showtimes bltch azz is paying these two clowns this much yet say no to rigandoux fights,& many others,they wouldn't even pay for kov vs stevenson.
