Comments Thread For: Dana White: Loss to Mayweather Won't Hurt UFC, McGregor Brands

Dana White doesn’t think anything that happens during Conor McGregor’s fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. could do permanent image damage to the MMA superstar. White, UFC’s president, believes boxing and MMA fans alike are giving McGregor credit for demanding to challenge the undefeated five-division champion who retired as the best boxer in the world. Las Vegas’ Mayweather (49-0, 26 KOs) is 40 and hasn’t fought since September 2015, but he is an 8-1 favorite over Ireland’s McGregor (21-3, 18 KOs in MMA).

Of course it doesn't hurt MCG, that's why the rest of the world knows, "This is the biggest money grab scheme ever concocted!"

Hope McGregor after this fight tells Masta Dana to stick it where the sun don't shine and steps away from the UFC for good and their slave wages.

He can then cash out even more by going on a boxing barnstorming world tour and take 8 figure beatings by fighting Manny in Macau/Dubai and Canelo in Cowboys Stadium/Mexico City and milk his shtick dry lol.

damage limitation coming in already - hours after the fight is announced.

I hope Mayweather kos Connor in the early rounds after toying with him. At least then boxing should get a boost among casuals. Might even see more people tune into CaneGGG

It will if Mayweather clowns and embarrass him. I have a feeling he will. Most Mayweather's opponents fade away into obscurity afterwards. The same thing might happen to McGregor.
