So from what I could make out, Argumendo wasn't going to let go of his title lightly and may have won those final two rounds. Throughout the fight he wasn't landing cleanly enough to actually hurt Kyoguchi though. Impressive performance from the young and inexperienced fighter against such a tough and crafty Mexican veteran. He joins his countrymen Tanaka, Ken Shiro and Higa as an exciting young champion down in the lowest weight region

Seven out of the twelve belt holders in the bottom three divisions are actually Japanese now

Hold up, did Argumendo get the decision??? I thought I saw Kyoguchi being held aloft with the strap over his shoulder?

      BoxRec says Argumendo won http://boxrec.com/boxer/752878

Thought so. I guess it's a rare mistake from BoxRec and will be corrected in a minute

So Argumedo lost to that young kid? Interesting. Not surprised that Taguchi won, he's solid. So they're setting up a potential unification with Tanaka? I was hoping Canizales would get a rematch, but this is good as well. Bet that's a big time fight in Japan, I think I would lean towards the younger, fresher Tanaka.

I know you follow the lower weights closely, who do you think is the best fighter at 108?

No doubt Pedro Guevara: wins over Akira and Lopez, then I have to go with Ryoichi Taguchi these boys Tanaka and Ken Shiro are just starting out.
