Ryoichi Taguchi has been steady rising up the ranks fighting top 20 contenders in Carlos Canizales, Ryo Miyazaki now hes taking a soft touch however Robert Barrera is #1. by the WBA rankings so I gather its his mando therefore I give him a pass.

The payoff is as the article states he is seeking a unification in facing Kosei Tanaka who is already two weight champion with less than 10 pro fights! its about time Taguchi step up and the winner makes a case of being #1 at 108.

Idk I'm a big advocate of lower weight fights but at a certain point it just gets too low. I know Kosei Tanaka but that's about it.

You should of heard about him he also faced Naoya Inoue for the Japanese 108 title, thats was the fight that caught peoples eye on the 'Monster'. Ken Shiro is also a guy making waves @ 108 just recently beating Ganigan Lopez for the WBC crown in only ten pro fights -- a beautiful performance, you should check that out.

I've honestly never heard of Barrera and that doesn't happen to me often. Taguchi is solid so I expect he wins this fight. Would like to see Taguchi rematch Canizales of maybe fight Yaegashi
