This fight will lower the PPV potential revenue of GGG vs Canelo. A lof of fans won't spend a lot money for 2 fights less than a month apart. Floyd was very smart to make his fight at and earlier date.

Yeah, everyone seems to think this is a huge money event, not sure how anyone can be so sure though. It's unprecedented. No one has any idea how much money this will actually produce..

Man I wouldn't trust that Bennett guy at all if I knew him personally. He can say Andre Ward (a guy moving up to 175) can't fight Alexander Brand (a abc ranked fighter), but somehow Floyd (a multi-weight world champion, future HOFer & generally considered the best boxer of this era) vs Conor (a 0-0 guy in pro boxing & is only rumored to have had any amateur fights) is cool with a straight face both times lol.

Nothing to do with money I'm sure doe.

unless they stack the undercard it wont do aswell as people think. think people will be reluctant to actually spend money on it, most will just stream it or whatever out of intrigue.

Not at all.. for 2 reasons, first it was washed up boxers who didn't crack it in boxing anymore and were probably getting paid peanuts. Second, it didn't cause the sport of MMA any harm, it probably actually helped them.

That whole Andre Ward-Rohan Murdock situation is still mysterious to me. Mayweather-McGregor is a freak show, but how many PBC fights in recent years have had hideous mismatches? I realize some of these may have happened outside of Nevada, but three that come to mind are Garcia-Salka, Quillin-Zerafa, and Santa Cruz-Roman. But they have a problem with Ward fighting a top-20 ranked guy that held the IBO title? There's something fishy about that. Maybe Bennett was trying to settle a score for the late Dan Goossen? IDK, I'm just hypothesizing.

But you think Mayweather knocking McGregor silly is gonna hurt boxing? Let me guess, you're Mexican.
