Rocky Fielding will defend his British title against Jamie Cox in September
Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn announced the fight between the two stablemates on Twitter today with a date and venue still to be confirmed.
On Twitter, Hearn said: "All agreed today, Rocky Fielding will defend his British super-middleweight title against Jamie Cox in September. Date confirmation soon."
Fielding won the vacant title at the second time of asking in April by edging out John Ryder at Liverpool's Echo Arena and has since been ordered to make a mandatory defence against the unbeaten Cox.
Cox made his Matchroom debut last month, taking a technical decision over Lewis Taylor to claim the WBA Intercontinental title on the undercard to Kell Brook's IBF world title defence against Errol Spence Jr.
