Comments Thread For: DiBella: Guerrero-Figueroa Will Be Like Gatti-Ward, Salido-Vargas

Promoter Lou DiBella has high expectations for the Robert Guerrero-Omar Figueroa fight. DiBella believes their styles are suited to produce non-stop action July 15 at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, the kind of memorable brawl that'll leave fight fans wanting more.

should be an entertaining style clash, except isn't figueroa much smaller than guerrero? Anyways, i'll tune in to watch two terrible boxers beat the **** out of each other

Why would they have Robert Guerrero headline a fight on Fox? Guy is soo washed up. Could have put fresher younger top fighter instead. The fight is going to be a 12 round with a ton of punches and no knockdowns.

I actually don't mind this fight and it should be real entertaining

Guererro needs a W in the worst way and after Omar fought Demarco I wasn't sure I'd ever see him fight again, good fight for where both are in their career.

Gatti/Ward?? LMFAO. The Ghost is beyond shot. He hasn't had a legit win in 3 years. He takes a 1 sided beating and loses 117-111 or 118-110

Guerrero is past it but Figueroa was never there. These two are gonna beat the hell out of each other. Guerrero is too shot to avoid shots, Omar too unskilled.

Good matchup, even if Guerrero isn't a top 5-10 anymore. And it will be interesting to see how Monaghan does. I guess at one point he was supposed to fight Smith Jr?

He has high workrate but figuoeras fights are boring for me. The guy has no power and snap on his punches. People thought the fight against the japanese guy was exciting, but they did the same thing in each round. Throw many punches, but not doing any damage.neither guy was even hurt once.
