Its a joke-y thread bro calm down lol.
But in theory I think Conor has outs with his UFC deal. First off I think UFC contracts are probably illegal due to the "champions clause" which make them never ending contracts in theory. GSP's lawyer said they are primitive contracts that mirror contracts from the 1940's before labor laws came into play & won't stand up if pressed. No one's had the balls to press them is the thing.
And secondly I believe the Muhammad Ali Act, as theorized by many cats smarter than myself could be a monkey wrench into the UFC machine, could also be used by a guy with a boxing license, as Conor already has, to overrule his UFC contract since there are clear guidelines on how promoters, managers & fighters operate & how the UFC operates would likely be deemed in conflict with the MAA.
Its all hugely speculative at this point doe, but its a interesting topic I think & I think someone will attempt to cross that bridge eventually & we'll find out whats what for real.Comment

I entertained this idea too. It won't happen though. Only way it does is if Conor has an exclusive contract with UFC also. Last thing someone like Dana White wants is the Haymon cancer infiltrating his baby and life work. I'm not a UFC fan at all but got to hand it to Dana, he did an amazing job for that realm of combat sports. I don't think he could have done a better job. UFC has been such a sweeping sensation.
What I love about this fight with Floyd and Conor is...my god..what if Conor wins? He would be the Trump of our boxing world. The shake up in boxing would be epic. Imagine...Conor ****ing Mcgregor taking the mantle of the undefeated 49-0 TBE Money Mayweather. It would be the most entertaining (probably very short lived) thing watching the total killers of our boxing world licking their chops in the event of this outcome and Conor (a Naseem Hamed type presence) saying bring it on. It would be a seismic shift for the hierarchy of all these great fighters from 135-160 seemingly in limbo right now to suddenly have this Mayweather supremacy age being blown to bits. I'm sure a lot of posters on here would disagree with how great a representative of boxing Conor could be (assuming the slight chance that he can contend with the elite). I only say that because people never appreciated Tyson Fury and the savage high octane trash talking he'd produce in a build up. It would be like that times 10. Then again Conor could pull a gutless chess move and trash boxing, returning the favor to Dana as the most embarrassing loss for boxing fans in history.Comment

Conor is a great MMA fighter and a lousy boxer. Why would he leave what he is great at to be a lousy boxer? Why would Mayweather want to promote a mediocre boxer? Maybe Mayweather would promote Conor as an MMA fighter if he isn't under contract with the UFC. Conor has millions of fans as an MMA fighter. After Mayweather toys with him and KOs him few fans will want to see him box again.Comment
