Sorry to hear it. Hope and pray this young man pulls thru and can lead a normal life outside the ring.

Did anybody see this fight? I saw a quick vid of the punch but it didn't seem all that bad tbh. Did he take additional punishment early?
Didnt seem that bad?? If youve boxed before, you would feel that punch from the screen.

It was a brutal punch that he didnt see coming.

Right. It definitely didn't seem that good I know that much.

Its impossible to know what led to this or didn't led to this outcome exactly most of the time cuz we've seen worse KO's where a guy is fine & lesser KO's where a guy isn't, but I can't help but think this kid shouldn't have even been in the ring after getting KO'd 3 months ago.

I blame the commissions first & foremost for not having as serious suspensions after KO's as they probably should have.

And secondly I blame Roc Nation for not even having the fore site to protect their own investment in this kid by sitting him for longer after a previous KO loss. One would think a promoter of a guy who got stopped just a mere 3 months ago wouldn't put there guy in deep waters again so soon. I'm definitely a guy who wants & praises competition, but I don't think guys who just got KO'd by a prospect caliber guy should be fighting another prospect caliber guy 3 months later either.

Not really what I meant, was referring to worse knockdowns having better outcomes. Donaire/Montiel comes to mind.

Sounds like a bad part on his promoter/corner.

This was just posted on their GoFundMe page a moment ago

Good morning, Daniel was moved out of intensive care unit and into a regular room. He's responding well and is becoming more alert.

He's running a fever of 102 this morning. We are waiting for the doctor to show up and update us. I will let you all know as soon as we get more information.
Thank you all for the prayers and support and please keep sharing.
