Brandon will always be Brandon... But without a doubt the move to Ricky has given him new motivation and a change from what he was used to. His conditioning seems to be better and his attitude towards staying in the gym & training ect... We shall see what happens after this first win back tho
Well, better I would say than he did against Bradley, but otherwise he looked like old bam bam. His power at 147 is not what it was at the lower weights though

too soon to tell but i know the change is needed. rios was way to relax with robert garcia to the point where it seems like rios wasnt even training, just there to bs.
He is not as good as he was a few years ago. He is finished as a title contender. Boxrec ranks him 33rd in the world after this win. They rank the guy he just KOed number 198th in the world. That guy had already been KOed 3 times before he fought Rios. Rios is now just a hard punching, iron jawed, walking punching bag. That guy hit him cleanly almost at will.
Same! A new trainer can only do so much because you can't teach old dogs new tricks. Fighters like Rios will go back to doing what they know what to do because they have been doing it for years.
Same but IMO he can give some welterweights a tough fight!
He has an iron chin and heavy hands and if his conditioning is better under his new coach he can be what he was at 135(albeit with less power) where he didn't gas but kept bringing relentless combos and pressure!
He has good bodywork and it's a shame Top Rank ruined what was left of his prime by having him sit on the shelf waiting for that Brook fight!
He'll be outboxed as always but anyone who stands and trade with him will likely lose!
Give him another tune up or 2 and let's see him against Collazo or Berto!
