Chavez sr has a far better record than gayweather,& he actually fought EVERYONE & ducked no one,while gayweather even retired to duck fighters to avoid mandatories.

He went 89-0 & in those 89 he fought many many great fighters,& he fought several times a yr,that was a different era where the best all had losses,but after chavez won his title from camacho(the A.T.G.) by ko he went on to fight all comers,he wanted the best & he fought the best available competition throughout his career without ducking anyone,fighters like whitiker ducked him for a while.

In chavez 89-0 wins he has so many fights with so many good & great fighters of all styles & sizes, Mayweathers record cant come close, (mayweather has impressive resume)

Mayweather could've been far greater than he was in history but he chose to play it as safe as possible,so there should always be an asterisk on his record for when he retired to duck. And for custom choosing tailor made opponents 95% the same style of come forward brawlers & lil guys in his own words hes an ultra cherrypicker, I've always said if you can do that then thats up to you,but you should always expect people to hold it against your record,so it is what it is.

I can tell your a ignorant,know nothing,casual for that twat statement. As soon as Chavez won his 1st belt he seaked out everyone & fought several hof in their prime. Back then he fought sometimes every month or every other month,& many of those fights were mandatories against young lions,& the sheer amount of fights he had AFTER becoming champ alone makes him a top 5 p4p,he fought 6 times in the year he fought whitaker. Dsab casual, mayweather didnt invent boxing,he just convinced groupies to think he did. Mayweather is an all time great also,but its ****** when people act like he actually was undefeated or that his 49 wins are unrivaled.
