That is why I have no problems with fighters "quitting" after absorbing hard shots throughout the fight.
Regarding mayweather, yeah it is his prerogative to be a defensive fighter. But he needed outside of the rimg gimmicks to sell himself.

I feel for his family. But i am not sure if his mangement team did the right thing by having him fight in Mexico while suspended and bringing him back against a tough oponent.

Doesnt matter at this point I guess. Hope he pulls thru and recovers.

I didn't realize his last KO L was just 3 months ago. I'd love for there to be longer suspensions after KO's. I think you should be out a minimum of 6 months if you're stopped & if the KO is a harsh one or you are legit out then its 1 year you should suspended or longer. Head trauma ain't nothing to f#cking play around with.

Also wtf at Roc Nation putting a guy they promote in another tough fight 3mos after he got KO'd. Sit this kid for awhile. Throw him a few more dummy fights if you must like his fight a month ago in Mexico. But don't throw him in with a serious prospect in his own right 3mos after getting blasted.

Hope his family gets whatever the best outcome is for them & Daniel with a situation like this. My assumption would be his life is forever changed after this fight & he'll need 24/7/365 care from this point on which for me would be no way to live or how I'd wanna live given the choice to decide.

Watched this fight. He was taking hard shots all fight.

I felt obliged to throw in $20 on his gofund me. I've paid more for worse fights. Wish him the best.

Exactly, these are the morons that want people to actually die in the ring for their enjoyment

This shows you how vicious boxing is, its no joke its dangerous, that was one of the most vicious knockouts his knees went in and he just dropped, he was still groggy, but its weird how they say being knocked out is better than taking a prolonged beating, but Franco didnt take a beating he was put out quick and still suffered.

But there's a way to do a dangerous career while making it safer, moron.

You wouldn't send a cop out without a vest because "hey, they chose a dangerous career, right?"

Defensive skills have to get better and refs & corners have to get better at protecting fighters from themselves.

I hope Jay-Z gives his family the financial support they need to cover his medical bills.

I know his brother, he used to coach at our old gym. Really nice guy and I have always heard good things about the Franco family. Their gym is about 30mins from my house. I feel really bad, its close to home, I am honestly thinking not to let my boys fight anymore.
