Comments Thread For: Eubank Jr: After I Beat Abraham - I Deserve Groves and DeGale!

IBO super middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (24-1, 19 KOs) wants every title at 168-pounds - and he feels the road to those other titles will begin on July 15th, when he defends his belt against his most experienced opponent and most well known name, Arthur Abraham (46-5, 30 KOs). The fight with Abraham takes place on July 15 at Wembley Arena in London.

Guess that's the end of Jr. at MW then? He's always been a big guy but I didn't realise he was staying at 168.

I guess he is staying at 168 now, he would be fresher and more hungrier than Groves and Degale, so this has played right into his hands/career.

I think he's moved up too early. There were big fights at MW like the golovkin vs canelo winner. BJS is also looking for a new opponent and that would be perfect at this stage of his career. I also think MW is the better division right now.

And then he'll lose his pen again when they actually want to fight.

Deserve is a bit strong but he'll definitely be in with a shout. This is the type of opponent he should've been facing a couple of years ago I'm looking forward to this fight as it will give an indication to what level he's at. The last time he fought someone with a pulse it was against Saunders and it was one of the worst performances I've witnessed.

He already ducked a rematch against Saunders, and pulled out of the WBA rankings to avoid having to fight Jacobs. Then he lost his pen for Golovkin.

Eubanks never wanted any of those fights. He's an opportunist. He knows the super middleweight division is weak right now especially with Badou Jack moving up and Froch retiring. He wants to go there and dominate so the weak division while it's still ripe for the taking so that when the others move up he has already acclimated to the weight and built an aura of invincibility for himself.

He should have to beat paul smith cause smith is world level and a GOAT at 168. He even beat abraham in germany unofficially.
