By that logic Yao Ming is the current greatest fighter in the world.

    Stop talking b@llocks.

The only one that people are laughing at is Deontay Windmill.

Most boxing fans speak as if we're still seeing the old Haye who was light on his feet with good speed. Haye is average these days. Stiverne would take his old a** to war.

Bellew beat an old average Haye with ok speed, ok headmovement and a leg injury..Man gtfoh. Bellew is pathetic for bragging about this win.

Everyone knows what you are trying to say, the problem is you've exaggerated to such an extent that you've lost all credibility on this thread.

Stiverne at the time of his loss was a top 5 heavyweight at best. A lot of that was hype, and we know how various outlets like to get behind fighters before they lose. But he wasn't nearly a top fighter, or even a top 3 heavyweight.

Yes, he was better than a 2017 Haye, but Haye is a far better name on a resume when you look back, especially as it's thought that a fully fit Haye can still give anyone problems.

But I don't get why you're getting your arse in your hands about all this- who cares about Stiverne or Haye? It's this simple...

          Wilder > Bellew by KO.

And we all know it, despite how bad a fighter Wilder is, he's still easily good enough to knock out puppy fat Bellew who's boxing ability is only slightly better.

So stop stressing yourself out about it all.

Nobody said anything about automatically. Whoever would win at boxing is better at boxing. Whoever would win at chess is better at chess. Whoever would win in a race is better at racing. This is common sense.

If Ring magazine had Stiverne at #2 at heavyweight, that means they considered him the #2 fighter in the world since obviously he would have been favored over the fighters in the lower divisions as well.

Isaiah Thomas may be a better basketball player "inch for inch" than LeBron James, but that doesn't change the fact that LeBron James is a better basketball player.

So you're saying Yao Ming would be the betting favorite over Anthony Joshua if they were boxing tomorrow?

Wilder puts Bellew in a coma, cut the nonsense. He also knocks Wlad's head off. What the hell has Haye done lately? Wilder wrecks him too

No, that's exactly what I wasn't saying. Hence my use of the word 'b@llocks'. I was mocking your twisted logic. Do you really need me to explain this?

You've talked yourself round in so many circles you've met yourself coming backwards.

                  Go home, son. You're drunk.

My position is that the #2 heavyweight in the world would beat almost any fighter in the world and therefore is one of the best fighters in the world.

In a feeble attempt to poke a hole in my position, you brought up Yao Ming as if I was claiming anybody bigger is automatically better.

But my position isn't whoever is tallest is best, my position is whoever would win the fight is best. If Andre Ward would beat Yao Ming in a fight, Andre Ward is the better fighter. If Bermane Stiverne would beat Andre Ward in a fight, Bermane Stiverne is the better fighter.

It's common sense, but common sense is very rare on this website.
