Vanes has always thought more highly of himself than he should. He's arrogant with a big mouth. If he fought as well as he talks he would be a world champion right now
And for the record Ishe isn't any better, another fighter who overrates himself and does a lot of talking
Personally a really cool dude though was fortunate enough to fish with him at Santa Monica Pier said his favorite fighter was Trinidad.
