Dunno who yawl is, u just know I've seen plenty of interviews with winning fighters who make excuses about why their performance wasn't great, but there's no debating they won. I don't know if he was over trained or not. But I wasn't commenting on that. I was pointing out thinking you didnt do great and thinking you won are not mutually exclusive. But then people don't actually read what you actually write on here.

He felt he faded due to over training. He felt he didn't perform as well as he shouldve in those rounds. That's not him admitting he lost them. As my example of fighters who say, "I was flat, the timing wasn't there but I got the win" ect. Winning performances often carry excuses attached. There's alot of proof of this. It's not him admitting he lost. There's no logical reason to suppose it is.Comment

Nope, you have a real problem with comprehension. He's saying he gassed, and therefore he didn't do as much as he wouldve liked. Not that he didn't do enough to get by. That's your projection onto him of how you interpreted he's performance. Others, like me thought he did enough. Even though it wouldnt have hurt to do more, mightve got another knockdown. Alot of experts thought he won, gassed or not. So what? It's still not an admission of defeat, no matter how much you'd like it to be.blupete is out here trying to act like this is some errol spence "eh i give myself a b-" after stopping brook....its not....this is kovalev telling u what we saw happen....kovalev admitting he was not sharp in the 2nd half...this directly contributed to him losing.....
this is not just fighter speak saying they didnt do well when they clearly dominated or won....this is him acknowledging the flaws that we all saw ...which directly conrtibuted to him losing a close decisionComment

hahaha...ur another one...a kovalev/ggg ballwasher...those guys never lose or do anything wrong with your rose colored glasses on...reasoning with you isnt an option clearly.....have a good one chiefNope, you have a real problem with comprehension. why would kovalev admit defeat? it was a close fight hat could have gone either way......the point is ....he admitted to what the people that thought he lost said happened...Comment

guys like pete will never get it...hes an EE fighter ballwasher
no one is saying that kovalev is admitting defeat...or should admit defeat
this guy cant comprehend that kovalev has confirmed what most of us saw
people that think ward won said "kovalev faded badly in the 2nd half and didnt win many, if any, rounds in the 2nd half clearly".....and kovalev has confirmed that he wasnt the same fighter in the 2nd half.....this contributed to it being a close fight...plain and simple
no one is saying he admits defeat...were saying that he cant claim robberyComment

Well said. That is exactly what I hate about the fanboys. The media asked Kovalev how he felt, he said he had a sudden energy drop at 5th round, and starts saying he made excuses. He did not make any excuses, he simply stated how he felt. He was still the better, stronger fighter, and did better than Ward. Could he have been better? Sure. Was he still better than Ward? Absolutely. The haters claim it is excuses but they completely take the stuff Kovalev says out of context to fit their pro "Ward the boxing genius" agenda.Nope, you have a real problem with comprehension. Nope, have a look at what I wrote about the fight. I said it was close enough to be open to interpretation. I've also picked against Golovkin in other threads. You just read things as you want to see them . my response was to people who said he couldn't have thought he won because he made excuses. Of course anyone who disagrees with anything you say has to be some type of "tard" and then some kind of derogatory gay term behind it because that's your level of mentality. Fighters often say they were tired in performances that they think we're winning but not to their satisfaction. Many say, "I should've done more" even, not because they think they lost, just because they think that a higher pace knockdowns ect wouldve put it beyond any doubt for the judges. Now if me and say, Floyd Mayweather had been judges Kovalev wouldve won, but were not so it don't really matter does it. And it wasn't the point I was making anyway.hahaha...ur another one...a kovalev/ggg ballwasher...those guys never lose or do anything wrong with your rose colored glasses on...reasoning with you isnt an option clearly.....have a good one chief

Spot on. But these people on this site aren't so much boxing fans, they're paranoids who are fighting a battle against their opponents "the tards", who engage in all this gay activity with their favourite fighters. And when someone underperforms, like I think Ward did, they keep at it until months later he has the body attack of Mike McCallum.Well said. That is exactly what I hate about the fanboys.
