Comments Thread For: Hearn: Joshua Wants Wilder, Parker, Whyte Rematch

IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs) wants the biggest fights possible - and he's not ducking any of the big names at the weight. In April, a record crowd of 90,000 were present at Wembley in London to watch Joshua stop former division ruler Wladimir Klitschko in eleven rounds to unify the three belts around his waist.

All relatively easy fights to make so get Klitchko out of the way (if he goes forward with rematch), then Pulev and start unifiying not just talking about unifying.

They mentioned two beltholdhers and someone aj has a serious dislike for. It's not that crazy. If Ortiz offered something I'm sure he'd be mentioned. Like it or not he's not relevant to AJ at This point. Im sure he'll get his shot within 18 months like the wba rules state but let's not pretend he's bringing anything to the table he's just another mandatory like pulev.

Bring anything to the table?????? This is a problem when fans think like financial advisers. Ortiz is a threat...much more so than Pulev-who they ARE mentioning. Nobody needs to see a rematch of the one sided Whyte fight. Klitschko has a rematch clause, Wilder is a logical opponent, but Parker is only keeping the belt warm...Ortiz is the mandatory they should make a priority, but they haven't whispered his name.

They are only mentioning Pulev because he is the next mandatory so has to come after Klitschko. Ortiz is not as the WBA have already said that Joshua will get a voluntary first so making the Ortiz mandatory their priority would be idiotic as that'd mean they'd have to drop the IBF belt.

That said he's gonna have to fit the Ortiz fight in between the big fights they are chasing else they'll have to drop the WBA. Joshua has said he wants all the belts so the likelihood of that happening is slim.

Beyond that Hearn here is talking about big fights, which Ortiz really isn't in comparison to the other three considering 2 are unifications and the other is a domestic grudge match. Granted the Whyte fight is only big in the UK, but then Hearn even caveated that he'd need Whyte to pick up a belt (maybe Parkers?).

                    No he's not.

                    He's a threat to himself.
