Floyd fought above 147 3 times-ODH (154), Cotto (154) and Canelo (152)-each time going up for a big money fight and then coming back to 147. He never was going to defend any of those titles against any of the ranked contenders.
Floyd fans would have at least expressed interest in it and supported Lara's challenge. I for one would have bought it. It's a chess match between sweet science guys. I didn't hear any of that coming from people who purports to support these kinds of fighters.

Respectfully, you are taking the answer to one question and applying it to another question.

Floyd only fought above 147 for the money. So he wasn't going to fight Lara or any other 154lb contender-ODh, Canelo and Cotto, thats it.

As for Floyd fans, at this point the more desired fight was Manny. I don't think you or anyone else would tout a Floyd/Lara fight over Floyd/manny.

Lastly, you shouldn't assume posters support "these kinds of fighters" based on ******ed posts you see from posters that are known idiots and not respected.

Point was you don't support defensive fighters and insult others with different styles at the same time, and when your idol himself avoided fighters similar to his style.

not every fight fan can be lumped into one style of fighter they like. most CASUAL fans are made into real fans by watching action fighters. once they get acclimated with other styles and fighters, their palate broadens (unless a fan is a strict nationalist).

still, hard to not like or at least appreciate, guys who give it their all to avoid having 3 strangers tell them who won (and possibly fnck it up). face it, kos are sexy.

A great cure for insomnia is a boxing workout every day for an hour and since you know everything about boxing. Step in the ring with a short, fat dude whose been doing this for awhile. Being humbled tends to help you sleep better too.

i don't want to embarrass a short, fat dude like you. i'd rather watch boring fighters to put me to sleep.
