To me no boxing match at the high level can be boring. Here you have two guys fighting to provide for themselves and their families and they're trying to do eveything it takes to win. How can that be boring?
Boring are fighters that get outboxed and try to survive till the final bell, for example Shane Mosley against Floyd Mayweather from the 3rd round on or Mosley against Pacquiao, these were boring fights because one of the combatants was there to get paid, not to win. Boring are fighters who get paid to get beaten up. But I never found any fighter trying to win boring no matter what his style is. I've been around the sport for a while now and I can see a lot of subtle things that casuals don't see, which is why I can appreciate and respect all styles and I can never be bored by a fight where both fighters are trying to win.
I also look at young fighters from a trainer's stand point and try to come up with game plans on how to improve this fighter or how to beat that fighter, or to make predicitions, that's the fun part about boxing, the anticipation of clash of different styles. People like Larry Merchant have ruined the sport by convincing casuals that boxing is not a sport but rather a Rocky movie where drama is everything, which is not true, which also set the action standard very high for fighters, nobody would lose to prove they can brawl, boxing is a sport and a beautiful one at that, the objective is to win and I always appreciate winners and respect those who try hard to win even if they come up short.Last edited by Dip_Slide; 06-08-2017, 03:08 PM.

Lets be honest here, you aren't blasting caps in anyone's ass, keyboard warrior. You're another punk who lives vicariously through yappy fighters whose mouths are more entertaining than their fights.

There are in fact fans who choose to rally behind a fighter because of his race, even if he is a boring fighter. This goes for black and white, but somehow the fakepugilist took exception to that. Too busy free-basing his Prozac and downing it with Sterno.

Threads like these remind me of those guys that would practically get offended if you disagreed with them on the hotness of a girl...... "How can you not think she's hot?? you don't like her cause of her race...... you're just gay!!"
