Watching it live I had it 114-113 Ward, rewatched it and had it 115-112 Ward, * means round was hard to score.

I had it either 115-112 or 114-113 for Kovalev.

I could not see a way where Ward won more than 6 rounds. The closest it could have been was 6 rounds each. But Kovalev still ahead by 1 point because of the knockdown.

And what exactly did Ward do to win the close rounds? Not suck as much as he did previously? To beat the champ you have to BEAT THE CHAMP. Some rounds he was close to Kovalev but still inferior.

I personally felt it was 7 for Kov, 5 for Ward, and that is not even including the knockdown. Even if it was 6 for kov and 6 for ward, Kov still had the knockdown. I think it's quite absurd to say or think Ward won more than 5 rounds.

I had the same 7 rounds to 5 for Kovalov 115-112.

But I can see 2-3 of those very close rounds going to Ward. That's why I had no problem at all which way the fight was judged...

That's a lot of rounds. For a fighter who thought he won that many rounds, there's quite a lot of bs going on in his camp and his trainer trying to switch. 8 rounds? I wouldn't change a thing.
