The respect has already been lost. Its okay. Mayweather will be the first fighter to lose the throne without having it forcibly removed. This is Errol Spence's yard now. Mayweather can play with McGregor in the kiddie pool now that he is too old to compete like a real man. Berto just tussled with Porter. Even he has more respect than current form Floyd. Floyd is no longer an elite fighter. The Maidana fights knocked him down a peg.

I was saying the same thing to someone, there is almost no chance that McGregor has more power than a dozen or so of Floyd's opponents. No way McGregor hits anywhere near as hard as Shane Mosely.

The thing about MMA, (and this isn't a knock on MMA at all) is that the fighters there cannot take a punch like boxers can and they are in more awkward positions at times so they cannot turn their head with the punch, it's why you see flash KOs in MMA off jabs and what not.

Boxing has a way of weeding out guys with glass jaws well before they become big time. At the latest, once you start fighting championship level opponents you will get caught flush and go to sleep. Even a guy like Khan who is considered to have a weak chin still probably has a much better chin that most MMA fighters. In MMA a guy with a poor chin can be champion if he has a good ground game. So McGregor might somehow catch Floyd with his very best punch and Floyd might barely blink.

It is garbage but with over 100 million on the table Floyd should definitely come back for it (but yes he does need to embarass him). There's people that would commit murder for 100 mil. So for Floyd to take an easy match I don't fault him if a bunch of suckers are willing to pay for it. It's the ppl who buy the paper view who need to check themselves.

Floyd most likely takes Conor to a 12 round boring ass decision.

I would prefer for Thurman or Spence to fight Conor, both would murder Mcgregor. Floyd would play patty cake with Conor.

Im not against this fight if Mayweather plans on knocking out conor eventually, but if it went 12 rounds.....can you imagine UFC fans, "oh look...he lasted 12 rounds and he isn't even a boxer".....it would ruin boxing's image as the superior sport
