How is it genius? Golden Boy has no say in the fight or promotion. All they got was a 60k payday for Johnson where DiBella gets to promote the fight and make money of it. It's shows Johnson that GB isn't really invested in him with that low bid, that or GB is counting their pennies with the Canelo fight.

This fight isn't a money fight in any way, shape or form. This fight makes no money for anyone except the fighters.
This fight would be like the opening fight on a low budget card. You really think this fight is worth $121,000?? Hell no!
But Johnson getting paid and it's not coming out of Golden Boy's pocket.
So having a top promoter like Golden Boy makes the other guy think you better bid high or else you won't get the fight. And that's exactly what happened.
But do you really think Dibella is gonna recoup his money, let alone make a profit on this fight??
