They probably knew DiBella would bid high and their guy is getting 50%. Likely didnt want to pay 50% to a Haymon fighter.

LOL, pure genius! Golden boy shows why they one of the top promoters in the business! It was a 50-50 split so no point bidding high. Let the other sucker go high and your own guy still getting half the money...
        Pure genius!

$121,000 is high? That's $60,500 each. That would be a good fight to put on the Canelo-GGG undercard.

I disagree. I've never heard of that Russian fighter with only ten fights and Johnson has only fought once in the past two years so neither fighter is relevant and I definitely don't wanna pay for that come September.
I rather pay for a good undercard with Fighters like Mythesse, Jojo Diaz, and De la Hoya.

Had you heard of Eamon O'Kane when he fought Johnson on the GGG-Lemieux undercard PPV? The same here with Derevyanchenko-Johnson is a solid fight for the undercard. I wouldn't make it the co-main but probably the first televised fight.

That's a high quality fight that DiBella got for peanuts. It would be better if they can shove it on an undercard somewhere.
