yeah...it was his goal when ward became active again and called him out...before that he was trying to make fights with chavez and froch.....
what belt was brook a mando for? what belt is canelo a mando for?
id be willing to bet had golovkin agreed to fight ward in the mid to late part of of 2016, like ward asked for, that fight would have been golovkins highest career purse just like brook wasComment

You might be right. Timing is everything. The Brook fight was unnecessary for Golovkin. Did more to elevate Brook. Canelo is and always was a money grab. The problem with Canelo was always his mouth. While Canelo was a middleweight Golovkin always welcomed a fight with him. Canelo dropped the belt fought at welterweight and started posturing later. Now he's ready. im just saying...you were in this post talking about how golovkin dispatches of anyone who dares to get in front of him...but just remember...there was a totally feasible challenge, in ward, ready to get in front of him.....but you can select your opponents too....i just hate when people go around talking like golovkin is bulletproof or something......ward called him out after golovkin was going around puffing his chest about 168 while ward was sidelinedYou might be right. C'mon, you know he's fought plenty of 'live bodies'.
GGG has faced the no.2 and no.3 ranked MW's in the world behind him and is about to face the lineal champ. He's ranked no.3 P4P in front of Lomachenko and Crawford. I mean what more can the guy do?
And the KD was definitely after a punch landed.Comment

I give him credit for the Jacobs fight but man the rest of his opponents are c+at best B-....but Jacobs followed by Canelo is a damn good yearC'mon, you know he's fought plenty of 'live bodies'.

To me Lemieux is a damn good fighter too. Before GGG Brook looked amazing. Both very close to elite. Murray, Geale and Macklin were all top 5 ranked at the time too and are also very good wins.
People forget that Martinez barely beat Murray and got hurt and dropped by him.Comment

No one is bulletproof. Golovkin or anyone else is beatable. I'm just stating a fact that no one has been able to do it. I would love to see Ward get in there with him. Anyone that would provide some competition for this guy would be welcomed. Right now he is the best in the MW division. I do think that Golovkin reserved his time for Ward until after he cleaned out the MW division. I recall an interview he gave where he did say he "didn't want Wardim just saying...you were in this post talking about how golovkin dispatches of anyone who dares to get in front of him...but just remember...there was a totally feasible challenge, in ward, ready to get in front of him.....but you can select your opponents too....i just hate when people go around talking like golovkin is bulletproof or something......ward called him out after golovkin was going around puffing his chest about 168 while ward was sidelined
right now." (paraphrasing), so you might be right. Who knows what would happen at 168. IMO nobody at 160 beats Golovkin. That's all I'm saying.Comment
