Kind of. It was PPV in the province of Quebec. It was not aired in the rest of Canada at all.

Can you believe that? it's like if Roy Jones fought and it was a PPV but only in Florida and nobody else in the country could watch. We don't get Showtime up here. We get HBO but if it's a fight that involves a big Canadian fighter they will black it out up here and force us to buy the PPV. Problem is lately it's been Quebec only. Toronto is the biggest city in the country and you couldn't buy it there LOL. Great business sense from Stevensons promoter Yvon Michel. What a joke.

Stevenson is not a draw even in his home town. I was at the fight. Upper bowl was cordoned off. Same with the ends of the lower bowl. You had the floors and 5 sections of lower bowl open on both sides. If I had to guess attendance it was probably in the 6000-7000 range.

I saw Lemieux headline against NDam there without the luxury of a decent co-main like Pascal-Alvarez and Lemieux did exact same crowd size from what I could tell. Stevenson is not a big draw in Montreal. He's never had a fight in Montreal where they opened up the whole arena. They've always had sections cordoned off.

Isn't damn near every boxing match there sold as a PPV? How much does the average PPV cost?

US PPVs like Ward-Kovalev coming up is usually around $60. Canadian fighter PPVs are around $70 the only thing better about Canadian PPVs is you usually get the full card, all 8 fights.

The US PPVs are only 4 fights.
