broner throws 40 punches a round because that is who he is, and hwo he is is not good enough. floyd cold throw 40 punches in a round but he'd win fights because his opponents rarely landed in double digits, and most of those shots had the steam taken away, and in addition floyd would land sharp, eye catching counters that not only scored, but broke opponents down and took away their will to take risks. kind of like what mikey did when he schooled broner.
