But what if the Brook and Jacobs fights were good preparation for Canelo?
Dear Golovkin fans, it's time you opened your eyes.

I find this a fascinating phenomenon. There's a small cadre of posters who seem convinced the site is overun with ravening Golovkin fanboys who all think Golovkin is an all time great and spend all their waking hours hyping him up. In fact there's very few people saying anything like this and most likely those few that are are deliberately trolling. In fact if it wasn't for a few dedicated posters starting daily threads about how much of a hype job he is he probably wouldn't be talked about more than any other popular fighter on here - which is not much unless he has a fight coming up.i think that's about 5 guys on bscene. and then you've got another group of 5 different guys creating those straw man arguments from golovkin fans.
i don't see all of these golovkin fanboys people talk about. i just don't. there's honestly more hate for the guy than there is fanfare on bscene. it's a standard reaction in boxing. people don't identify with success, so when somebody has some success they retaliate.Comment

Lol c'mon man... You never see Golovkin not competitive... Plus it's only the boneheads who actually think that about Golovkin taking punches on purpose.Comment

Aside from just ****ing with you, my point was that neither Brook nor Jacobs had **** to do with preparing for Canelo. LolComment

No, one was a money fight and one was a mando but if Golovkin is smart then i think there are some things he can take away from those fights and apply to this one... There are times he definately doesn't look to be the smartest in the ring though. Sanchez didn't do him any favors in the Jacobs fight. A bad game plan seems really possible and why I think Canelo could pull it off.Comment
