Comments Thread For: McGregor's Coach: I Won't Shake Hand of "Lowlife" Mayweather

Conor McGregor's trainer, John Kavanagh, held nothing back when he explained why he'd never shake the hand of former five division champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Back in April, Kavanagh conducted an interview in Australia, where he lashed out at Mayweather over the boxer's troubled past when it came to allegations of domestic violence. The trainer also feels Mayweather is a bully, and allows fighters to be bullied, at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas.

If Mcgregor doesn't even have the brain to get even terms at the negotiating table, he has no chance in the fight. He is the one moving to Floyd's sport, so the least they can do is make it at Mcgregor's weight, 155, especially seeing as Mayweather has fought at 154.

Draining to 145 to fight 15 minutes is one thing. Draining to 147 to fight 36 is another. For the sake of the fans the fight should be at 155. If Mcgregor wasn't even smart enough to demand that concession, after making one 500000 times bigger by being the one to literally switch sports, then Floyd has him right where he wants him.

And Dana White is a fool if he doesn't negotiate fair terms for his fighter. His fighter will drown in the ring at 147 by the 8th round. If Dana doesn't want his sport to be embarrassed athletically, he at least needs to demand a weight where his fighter can be healthy for 12 rounds and not completely embarrass UFC by hyperventilating until he has to take a knee and quit because he can't stand anymore. That will happen draining down to 147 and fighting 36 minutes after fighting at 170 and 155 his last two fights and never having to fight that long either.

Just because we now know he exists, doesn't mean anyone wants to hear from this attention seeker... no one cares who's hand you shake
