Comments Thread For: Spence: Thurman Has Been KO'd Before, I Can Knock Him Out!

IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence (22-0, 19 KOs) feels very confident in his ability to stop WBC, WBA champion Keith Thurman (28-0, 22 KOs) inside the twelve round distance. Spence wants to unify the division, and views Thurman as the likely candidate - since the two of them share the same manager in Al Haymon and both fight under the Premier Boxing Champions umbrella.

At the moment only Errol Spence can beat Errol Spence. Thurman is a great fighter with good movement but Errol will take those legs away and close that distance. This fight won't go the distance.

Thurman wont fight Spence anytime soon, hell want a few more tuneups first even though his elbow surgery is a minor outpatient procedure. Hes made it obvious with his last comments & before too, that hes shook of Spence, but everyone at welter is shook of Spence. Spence is everything rising fighters try to avoid, I normally don't rate fighters based on skills instead of resume but I think Spence already looks like hed beat anyone at welter. Hes big for welter & has deceptively great defense, him being a southpaw with his unique style & power makes him appear to be too much for current crop of welters who are mostly unproven as he is. Those that aren't unproven are washed up,like pacquiao.

Spence is going ot be a problem for any fighter. in fact I think if you took him vs prime floyd it would be a hell of a fight.

Spence is big, strong, LONG, left handed, and has a hell of a jab. uses feints and movement to set up his body shots. he cuts the ring off. well schooled and athletic.

How do you think he'd fare against today's Floyd? Like if they fought in 4 months from now?
