    Should Fonfara retire?

I think he should hang em up. Back to back KO losses. Both in early rounds no less. The guy can't even get a few solid rounds of work in.

Absolutely no defense at all. No head movement. Stands right in front of you straight up and down. Can't take a punch. I really can't see him doing anything significant anymore.

    He's done.

He looked very poor last night.

Oh wait my mistake. Not back to back losses. I forgot about the Chad Dawson fight in between.

Actually, he finished Dawson in his previous fight so it's not back-to-back. But, I get what you're saying. (edit; I see you caught it)

I normally wouldn't say a guy should retire just because of a couple losses but the WAY he lost last night is very concerning. He simply could not get out of the way of that straight left. When you know a punch is coming, and it's almost the only punch the guy is using, and you still can't do anything about it, you're done.

Fonfara seems like a super-nice guy and I've rooted for him for a while now but, to me, it was obvious why Virgil stopped it. It's not about the damage he took, it was the damage he was about to take because the guy simply had no answers to Stevenson's basic punches.

He's still a younger guy (29 iirc) & was anyone really thinking he had much of a chance here? This was a KO waiting to happen with a small chance of Fonfara upsetting Adonis at best.

And what job skills does he has exactly beyond boxing? Anyone know that?

I think there is easily another 1M in purses in his future vs all these up & coming 175lbers who want a sexy name on their resume & he could even surprise some of the pretenders among those cats to who knows. So it'd be kinda silly to give up another 1M+ to set yourself up for post-boxing vs try to get into used car salesmanship or whatever he's capable of doing outside of boxing.

Hell he could even try MMA cuz there is a big Polish MMA league that's getting on the map lately that likes freak shows & would probably love a boxer turned MMA guy to promote for nice paydays for him.

Maybe he should move up to 200lbs and catch one of those glass chin cruiserweights who come in with their chin straight in the air.

It worked for Bellew after he got bodied by Stevenson.

Well, he has the head movement of a 10 foot 2x4 piece of wood buried 9 fee 11 inches in cement so yeah, he needs to retire.

I think he's a personal trainer at a gym somewhere in Chicago. Hyper fight club I think is the name of it.

He can make a living doing that I guess.
