What's next for Stevenson?

He should be defending his title against better fighters but so should most of today's champions. I was impressed with the power and accuracy of his straight left. He seemed to have radar for his powerful left and he just couldn't miss with that punch. He must be one of the three best light heavyweights in the world and a serious threat to Ward and Kovalev.Comment

This is the correct answer.
I think if Stevenson can get away with another bs fight he'll certainly do it, but I think he's getting to the end of the free money line cuz 175 is starting to fill out a lil more with these up & coming guys coming into their own & he will have to face someone threatening soon or he'll have to call up CM Punk from the UFC or something.Comment

I think with all the connections HBO has with the 175 division they will not go out of their way to make Ward/Kov vs Stevenson sometime later this year or next when they can easily make Ward/Kov vs The Nail or Alvarez later this year or next. And anything that happens with Stevenson will still need to go out of their way I feel cuz Stevenson was still trying to get the fight on Showtime which just wasn't & I suggest still isn't going to happen.
And I legit think Adonis has done one of the best jobs in the modern history of boxing to make himself as close to obsolete as possible in a division while still holding a title & being lineal champion. Its crazy that he's been able to do what he's done...although obviously unintentionally & ultimately a negative for himself.
I still expect him to cash out mind you, but I think he'll have another upset L on his record before that &/or its still a year, best case, maybe 2 away.Comment
