Who was infuriated by Maidana's infighting? From what I'm aware of, people were infuriated by Maidana's FOULING! There were low blows, rabbit punching, EVEN A KNEE if I recall correctly.

I didn't see Ward doing that. I saw Ward maneuvering to the inside to throw legal punches and being held by Kovalev.

There you go, if floyd is trying to hold , which he was and maidana has an arm free he is allowed to punch, floyd is creating the problem holding in the first place, I don't see that as an issue

It's not all bad news for the fans, or for the fighters getting held. There is a way to force the referee to penalize excessive holding: keep punching.

"I hate to take a point away from a guy for holding when the other guy is doing nothing to stop him from holding," said Steele. You missed my point, people who said maidanas infighting was wrong have no problem with wards launching head first hitting and holding, you can't have it both ways
