Comments Thread For: De La Hoya Says "Big Fight" in Store For Miguel Cotto in December

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar de la Hoya knows how to take advantage of opportunities when they arise. As soon as Miguel Cotto dissolved his relationship with Roc Nation, the former world champions moved the chips in his direction with the intention of joining forces with the multiple Puerto Rican champion. Although Cotto's best days are in the past, De la Hoya understands that the Puerto Rican superstar still has the ability and, in turn, the skills to be showcased in several significant fights before closing the book on his Hall of Fame career.

I would bet for a Cotto vs Lemieux fight in December since both of them are looking for a big fight.

It might be a fight against Bradley. It was talked about before, Bradley even said he'll go to 154 for that fight. Aside from fighting one of these young lions, it's makes the most sense and most marketable before setting it up with Canelo again

Canelo and Lemieux are the favorites for dec. Plus Marquez, bradley, khan, and brook. If cotto beats kamegai he has several options for a big fight.

I almost spewed my Guinness out of my nose here...I don't know what's funnier, the fact that you think Lemieux can make 154, or that you think GB would let Lemieux anywhere near Cotto!

I guess last month Beefy signed to face the other Liam again in a rematch. So he's out...Bradley as mentioned has been tossed around, and he's showing nothing on his plate as far as I can see. I'd take that if it's a fair offer to Tim, and I think he's got a good shot to win. Tough fight tho...
