You know, for the life of me, I just can't understand all of the Andre Ward hate I see around this forum. I mean, you have a guy that pretty much seems like a promoter's dream outside of the ring. I would understand if you thought his style is boring. Ok, his style is not for everyone and he is missing one punch knockout power, which may make him less appealing to some. Fine. But the attacks on his character seem utterly ridiculous.

I mean, he won a gold medal for his country. He is a family man. Never involved in any type of "world star" scenario as far as I know. A religious man. Always polite. Is confident, but also seems humble. What the hell is the problem? It's like if you stripped Floyd of the negative things that people say about his character , then you'd basically have Andre Ward. He has a much cleaner image than Manny Pacquaio, yet I've never seen Pacquaio's character being questions as much as Andre Ward's here!

Some say he's a dirty fighter for the use of his head, but I see nothing conclusive there. Just like some say Floyd is dirty from the use of his elbow, which to me looks like he is obviously using to create separation and not to do damage. Ward does go in head first sometimes, but it doesn't seem to be to purposely headbutt.

And some are upset about his treatment of his last promoter, but so many of these boxers go through problems with their promoter that keep them out. Mikey Garcia comes to mind as another guy just getting back into the swing of things after this.

I asked one guy what he hates about Ward so much, and he said, "He has no 'real nlgga' in him." What???? The hell does that even mean???
