i want hopkins to win, the only thing that he has to do is let his hands go and not be afraid to pull the trigger. if he can do that like he did against trinidad he'll beat tarver fairly easily.
tarver likes to wait and lets his opponents lead alot and that makes him easily out hustled, i.e. tarver johnson 1. tarver was letting johnson do his thing in the first fight and it cost him on the cards,

he does that with hopkins he's going to lose on the cards again.
in his 2nd fight with johnson he knew to set the pace more and got the win.

tarver likes to feel comfortable in the ring before he presses the action, and hopkins never lets a fighter get comfortable in the ring unless it's by design and a part of his fight plan.

i see hopkins playing the part of a sniper and using angles to make it more difficult for tarver to set up throwing good solid shots. never actually squaring up right in front of tarver and doing more work on the inside when they do clinch.

hopkins is the better inside fighter of the two and won't let tarver get off one of those big shots unless tarver is over aggressive fires away like a mad man.

i'll take hopkins in a well thought out fight plan, executed properly for the UD......

no offense but trinidad was a natural welterweight, tarver is a natural light heavyweight

Tarver is a natural Light Heavyweight.

Hopkins fought at WelterWeight at some point during his career.

This fight is a mismatch and bad for Hopkins imo.

Hopkins fought Felix Trinidad who is a Welterweight

Light Heavyweight and Tarver is no light puncher. I like Hopkins too but this is a huge mismatch.

Exactly, Hopkins hasn't beaten a great Middleweight. Hopkins beat 2 great welterweights and they call him a great middleweight . I called it before the Taylor fights, Hopkins physcial rough house style works on smaller guys but against an athletec and strong natural middleweight of high caliber he will lose. He will also lose his fight against Tarver the naturally much bigger guy.

Tarver's tank has tendancy to run low towards the end of a fight but unlike guys like Glen Johnson, Hoplins wont press the fight. It will turn into a counter punching waiting game that Tarver will win by decision.

BTW I'm not a Tarver fan.

as long as hopkins stays out the corner , hes good ... tarver doesnt have the stamina to finish 12 rounds...

hopkins by late round knockout , as long as he doesnt get caught flush ...
