Sheesh your level of idiocy never ceases to amaze me. I'm talking about Thurman.... As an amateur. That's why the questions I ask in the thread.... Pertain to who do it AS AN AMATEUR. I didn't even mention being KO'd as a pro. This board needs a literacy test for users to post on it.

Funnily enough I graduate next month from university with the highest grade classification in the UK. Clearly shows your lack of intelligence to comprehend I was referring to other posters on this thread. Surely should have been blatantly obvious considering your post was completely ambiguous to Thurman's "lack" of ability.

That's impressive if true, Spence was a pretty high level amateur.

Andrade and Thurman fought 4 times I believe, with Thurman winning the first one and Andrade winning the next 3. Andrade is one of the more underrated US fighters today, he was a great amateur with wins over guys like Thurman, Porter, Jacobs, Trout etc.

But back on topic, from what I've heard Thurman has been down a couple times in the amateurs, I know he traded knockdowns with Hatley, in a back and forth war. He was very crude and one-dimensonal as an amateur, by his own admission. You can still see it in his style today, he throws some crazy wild **** sometimes during exchanges.

I'm very much looking forward to Thurman vs Spence, if US boxing's popularity wasn't going through a dry spell right now, this fight would be getting a hellova lot more attention. It's one of the best welterweight fights in recent years.

Getting "KO'd" in the amateurs could mean as little as getting hit flush twice & being stunned for a second. They stop amateur fights over some rather mild sh^t. It doesn't really mean all that much.

I'd be curious to see it myself doe admittedly.

Yeah that's true actually, Lewis KO'd Bowe in the amateur finals but that's nothing like a professional knockout.... some of those amateur stoppages would make a Howard Foster stoppage look brutally legit.
