    David Haye Splits from McGuigan

    Rly...?

It's just been announced on his Facebook.

"We remain good friends and will always metaphorically be in each other's corner, but both parties agreed moving forward we weren't right for each other.

I remain deepy indebted to Shane for playing a pivotal role in my comeback to date. I will be forever grateful for his hard work and tutelage. I would not be in the position I am now without this. I wish Shane, his stable of fighters and everyone at Cyclone Promotions the best of luck in the future - they are set to have an explosive few months."

They weren't a great match anyway. McGuigan didn't seem to have the authority to rein him in

This was on the cards. It didn't seem like they gelled looking in from the outside.

Matters very little, Haye is finished anyway.

As he should. But David Haye is done. He will be what. 37 this year.
Maybe he can get come version of the WBA version, but I think he is done, just like Klitschko.

I predicted this, in the aftermath of the Toney Bellew fight! McGuigan is a good trainer, and has did well with David Haye but? Haye is a very specific fighter, he is like a formula 1 car that only has a small window of optimal operating performance. For example, if you drive a formula 1 car slow? It produces no down-force, and the brakes don't work. Adam Booth is the only coach who knows how to get the best out of David Haye, i noticed that Haye technique had dramatically changed under McGuigan.

Adding the weight was a massive mistake, he didn't need more strength, he needed to keep his speed. I said this from the start of his comeback. No doubt some of the extra strength training would have contributed to that achilles problem.

I think the weight was just a natural progression, David Haye has never trained as a body builder! aka to specifically gain mass. But what i did notice under Mcguigan is that his punching technique dramatically change, and this has nothing to do with age. I highly doubt if Haye fights again, he will weigh under 220 pounds! I think the weight was ok, considering he had only one functioning leg against Bellew! Bellew's power was hardly moving him.

I ether see David Haye going back to Adam Booth, or Freddie Roach.

                    It doesn't matter.

Haye's body is breaking down from PED use. He is finished.
